About The Position

Midwest Tire & Service is growing, and we are looking to hire an experienced Automotive Technician to help lead the mechanical side of our shop. This position will be responsible for handling the majority of our diagnostic work, in-depth mechanical repairs, and complex vehicle concerns. We are looking for someone who is dependable, experienced, and comfortable taking the lead on mechanical jobs while working with a growing team. Midwest Tire & Service is a growing automotive & tire service shop located in Salem, Indiana. We take pride in honest work, quality service, and taking care of our customers. As we expand into a larger facility, we are looking for the right technician to grow with us and take a key role in the future of the shop. Requirements

• Strong automotive repair and diagnostic experience
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Experience with scan tools, electrical diagnostics, steering/suspension, brakes, and general repair
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to grow with the business

Nice To Haves

• Own tools preferred
• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshoot vehicle issues
• Complete in-depth mechanical repairs
• Handle suspension, steering, brakes, engine-related repairs, and other major services
• Help guide and support other technicians when needed
• Maintain quality workmanship and efficiency
• Communicate needed repairs clearly with the service writer/management team
• Keep work area clean, organized, and professional
