About The Position

The Entry Level Automotive Service Technician, also described as an Express Service Technician, performs vehicle maintenance according to repair orders and dealership and factory standards. The role focuses on efficient, accurate work that supports vehicle safety and reliability and builds customer trust and loyalty. The technician coordinates with the Parts Department and Service Advisors, documents work on repair orders, keeps up with factory technical bulletins, and participates in factory-sponsored training as appropriate. Success is measured by targeted production and Customer Satisfaction Index results. AutoNation offers paid training, OEM certification support, and potential career paths including Service Technician and Service Advisor, with further opportunities in Service, Sales, Management, Regional, and Executive roles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record that is maintained.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety.
• A passion for cars and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an express or quick-lube technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty.
