About The Position

VIP Auto Repair in Westland, MI is seeking a motivated and dependable B-Level Automotive Service Technician to join their growing team. They are looking for a technician with a solid foundation in automotive repair, who enjoys problem-solving and wants to grow their diagnostic abilities with an experienced team.

Requirements

  • State of Michigan certification and/or ASE certifications (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and mechanical repair
  • Ability to perform repairs with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Properly diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicle concerns
  • Perform complete vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Perform brake, steering, suspension, cooling system, HVAC, engine, and drivetrain repairs
  • Diagnose common drivability, electrical, and check engine light concerns
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services according to manufacturer recommendations
  • Accurately document inspection findings and repair recommendations
  • Communicate vehicle conditions clearly with the service advisor
  • Follow manufacturer procedures and shop quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Continue developing diagnostic and technical skills through ongoing training
