About The Position
J.C. Lewis Motor Co. is seeking experienced automotive service technicians to join our team at J.C. Lewis Mazda. This position is not an entry-level or quick-lube role. We are looking for professionals who have a strong background in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair across a variety of makes and models.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems: engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, and electrical.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including use of computerized diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical bulletins.
- Proficient in performing complex repairs and maintenance tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Good communication skills for working with service advisors, team members, and customers.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Age 19 years or older.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certification(s) preferred.
- Mazda-certified technicians preferred; equivalent OEM dealership certification and experience is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on customer vehicles.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and quality checks.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers regarding repairs, timelines, and costs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Keep accurate records of all services performed.
