About The Position

Charlie's Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, one of the area’s largest automotive dealers, has an immediate opening for a Service Technician. We are paying $60 per flat rate hour including ALL WARRANTY REPAIRS!!! The Service Technician performs work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications. Service Techs at Charlie's Dodge can expect a clean, safe and state-of-the-art work environment. Requirements

ASE Certification a plus
Experience with all makes and models a plus
Strong automotive background
Strong teamwork skills
Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
Must have clean & valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
