Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic
About The Position
Land Rover Redwood City, part of Swickard Automotive Group, is hiring experienced Flat Rate Service Technicians. They operate disciplined shops with clear dispatch, timely parts delivery, and supportive leadership. Requirements
- 2+ years of dealership technician experience
- Strong diagnostic and electrical skills with ability to follow OEM procedures
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Team-first communication -- advisors, dispatch, and shop foreman depend on you
Nice To Haves
- Land Rover, Jaguar, or European luxury brand experience
- Land Rover factory certifications (required for sign-on bonus eligibility)
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Land Rover vehicles to OEM specifications
- Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs with precision and documentation discipline
- Communicate clearly with advisors and shop leadership to keep work moving
- Protect guest safety and trust through quality control and comeback prevention
- Perform test drives to confirm repair quality before vehicle return
- Recommend preventative maintenance services to guests
- Maintain a clean, organized bay consistent with Land Rover standards
