About The Position

Honda North, an International Cars, Ltd., Inc. Company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. This role is crucial in managing service operations, enhancing team performance, and driving sales while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. ICL is employee owned and proud of our dealerships: Honda North, 1 North Pre-Owned and KIA North in Danvers MA, Dover Honda & Dover Chevrolet in Dover NH, Porsche of Stratham, Audi of Stratham and Honda Stratham in Stratham NH and Portsmouth VW in Greenland, NH.

Requirements

  • Previous management or supervisory experience is required
  • Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and repair is essential
  • Strong background in customer service with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
  • Proficiency in using automotive software for estimating and service management.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record acceptable to ICL Insurance Company requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales within the automotive industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and best practices.
  • Oversee auto estimating processes to ensure accurate pricing and timely completion of services.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, provide recommendations for vehicle maintenance and repairs, and address any concerns.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and exceptional service writing skills.
  • Monitor performance metrics to evaluate team productivity and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service department.
  • Assist in aligning departmental goals with overall business objectives to drive sales growth.
