About The Position

Jim Pattison Toyota Victoria has a new opportunity for a Service Manager to join our team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring operations run efficiently and profitably. As the Service Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our Toyota Service Department, ensuring every customer receives the exceptional care and professionalism our dealership is known for. Your day will often begin by reviewing the service schedule, monitoring shop capacity, and ensuring technicians, advisors, and support staff are prepared to deliver efficient, high-quality service. Throughout the day, you will work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts, and Sales to maintain a productive workflow, maximize shop efficiency, and resolve operational challenges with minimal disruption. You will oversee repair quality, warranty administration, and adherence to Toyota's service standards, while ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and on time. A key focus of this role is delivering an outstanding customer experience by building strong relationships, addressing customer concerns professionally, and ensuring every interaction reflects the dealership's commitment to excellence. You will monitor customer satisfaction, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and help foster long-term customer loyalty. As a leader, you will drive departmental performance by reviewing key metrics such as productivity, efficiency, labor sales, customer satisfaction, and warranty compliance. You will identify opportunities to improve processes, support dealership objectives, and ensure compliance with Toyota policies, manufacturer programs, workplace safety requirements, and environmental regulations. Success in this role extends beyond daily operations. You will recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing service team, recognize individual and team achievements, and cultivate a positive, collaborative workplace culture. At the end of each day, you will have contributed to a safe, efficient, and profitable operation while helping your team grow and ensuring every customer leaves with confidence in their Toyota dealership experience.

Requirements

  • Assistant Service Manager experience is required.
  • Proven track record of success in the automotive industry.
  • Deep understanding of service department operations.
  • Strong understanding of warranty processes, manufacturer performance metrics, and customer satisfaction programs.
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer systems and software applications common in automotive service centers, such as CDK.
  • Strong accuracy, business judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and realistic time management skills.
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract from ICBC.
  • Consent to a background and credit check.

  • Automotive Service Management experience is preferred.
