About The Position

Kia Santa Monica is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have prior Service Advisor experience within an automotive dealership environment, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and be committed to delivering a top-tier customer experience. Strong communication, upselling, and customer service skills are essential. The company is seeking motivated individuals with the drive to succeed and grow with a dynamic team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated success as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership environment is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • 18 years or older required
  • Must pass pre-employment testing including a background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Kia and/or Hyundai Service Advisor experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring an exemplary experience for the service customer by providing a prompt and friendly greeting, listening to their description of problems or services needed, preparing repair orders and being proactive, accurate and thorough in communication.
  • Serving as a liaison between customer and technician ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the recommended service and/or repairs are understood by the customer.
  • Preparing accurate Repair Orders showing time, cost and labor estimates, verifying warranty and service contracts and reviewing with clients.
  • Promoting the sale of labor, parts and accessories by providing explanation of estimates and obtaining approval for work that is sold.
  • Following the progress of service repairs and providing customers with timely updates.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer service and retention by promptly addressing and resolving customer complaints.
  • Taking ownership of the customer's experience by completing extra tasks that contribute to leaving a positive impression at the dealership.
