About The Position
Accurate Auto is seeking an experienced Service Advisor / Service Writer who enjoys helping customers, building trust, and working closely with technicians to keep vehicles safe and reliable. As a Service Advisor at Accurate Auto, a GreatWater garage, you will combine the personal culture of a neighborhood shop with the tools, systems, and support of a growing automotive network. You will serve as the primary connection between our customers and the technician team, playing a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while helping the shop run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, sales, organization, and teamwork.
Requirements
- 1+ year Service Advisor / Service Writer experience preferred
- 1+ year sales experience or demonstrated ability to sell services
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Comfortable using computer systems and shop management software
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, professional experience
- Answer incoming calls promptly and assist customers with service questions
- Sell recommended maintenance and repair services
- Enter and track customer and vehicle information in shop management software
- Tag vehicles and document service needs upon arrival
- Build repair estimates and communicate recommendations clearly
- Obtain customer authorization for repairs
- Work closely with technicians to review inspection results and service recommendations
- Assign work orders based on technician availability and skill level
- Track vehicle progress and maintain clear notes in work orders
- Notify customers when vehicles are ready and arrange payment and vehicle pickup
- Perform occasional vehicle road tests
- Assist with general shop operations when needed to support workflow
