About The Position

As the next Service Advisor at Vern Eide Mitsubishi, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience from the moment a client arrives until their vehicle is ready for pickup. You will communicate with customers to understand their needs, manage repair and service requests, and liaise with our technicians to ensure timely and accurate service.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role, ideally in the automotive industry
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients and projects
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and service terminology
  • Proficiency in service management software and basic computer skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist them with any inquiries.
  • Perform vehicle walk-around and documentation of customer concerns to enable the technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle.
  • Determine automotive problems and services by listening to a customer's descriptions of symptoms, conducting inspections, performing vehicle walk-around, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.
  • Prioritize required services and ask for follow-up on future service considerations.
  • Maintains customer rapport by keeping the customer informed on completion times, service expenses, possible changes, work performed, and repair order charges.
  • Schedule appointments and obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
  • Advise customers on the care and maintenance of their vehicles
  • Know the product well enough to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customer’s vehicle.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing a positive experience
  • Handle invoicing and payment processing for services rendered
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
