About The Position

Springdale Automotive, a GreatWater Garage Shop, is seeking an experienced Service Advisor / Service Writer who enjoys helping customers, building trust, and working closely with technicians to keep vehicles safe and reliable. We combine the personal culture of a neighborhood shop with the tools, systems, and support of a growing automotive network. Our Service Advisors play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while helping the shop run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, sales, organization, and teamwork.

Requirements

• 1+ year Service Advisor / Service Writer experience preferred
• 1+ year sales experience or demonstrated ability to sell services
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Comfortable using computer systems and shop management software
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Willing to work 4 days a week (10 hour shifts) including Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, professional experience
• Answer incoming calls promptly and assist customers with service questions
• Sell recommended maintenance and repair services
• Enter and track customer and vehicle information in shop management software
• Tag vehicles and document service needs upon arrival
• Build repair estimates and communicate recommendations clearly
• Obtain customer authorization for repairs
• Work closely with technicians to review inspection results and service recommendations
• Assign work orders based on technician availability and skill level
• Track vehicle progress and maintain clear notes in work orders
• Notify customers when vehicles are ready and arrange payment and vehicle pickup
• Perform occasional vehicle road tests
• Assist with general shop operations when needed to support workflow
