About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor at Berman Infiniti of Niles is responsible for greeting customers, accurately documenting their vehicle service needs, recommending maintenance, preparing cost estimates, and communicating repair status. This full-time role involves coordinating appointments, collaborating with service technicians and other dealership personnel, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position offers a commission pay plan with potential earnings of over $100,000 annually.

Requirements

• 1 year of Service Advisor experience, required
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (3 yr min)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document service requests and recommendations
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with automotive service software systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to submit a background screening

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival at the service drive
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Listen attentively to customers' concerns and accurately document their vehicle service needs
• Determine and recommend necessary maintenance based on age, mileage and history of the vehicle.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts.
• Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle repairs and address any questions or concerns they may have
• Comfortably and clearly explain all completed work and charges to the customer
• Coordinate service appointments and ensure timely completion of service orders
• Collaborate closely with service technicians, parts department, and other dealership personnel to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
