About The Position

This is a unique position for someone who enjoys working with customers but also isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. The position combines front-counter customer service and service writing with hands-on tire work in the shop. We are a family-owned tire and automotive repair business serving our community since 1978, and we are looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our team. Because we are a fast-paced shop, the ability to multitask is extremely important. You may be helping a customer at the counter, answering a phone call, checking on a service order, and then helping in the shop as needed.

Requirements

Valid driver's license
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

Experience in the tire or automotive industry
Tire mounting and balancing experience
Basic tire product knowledge
TPMS knowledge
Willingness to complete tire manufacturer training and learning modules
Ability to work well with customers and coworkers

Responsibilities

Answer phones and assist customers at the front counter
Schedule service appointments
Greet customers and help write up service orders
Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle and tire needs
Help customers with tire selection and product information
Mount, balance, rotate, and service tires
Work with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)
Communicate with technicians and other team members to keep jobs moving efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist with other tire and automotive service duties as needed
