We are currently seeking motivated individuals for the role of Automotive Sales Product Specialist. This is a full-time position based in Indianapolis, IN, offering competitive pay from $40,000 to $60,000 annually. Requirements

  • At least one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong sales abilities with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Organizational skills with a thorough approach to follow-up before and after sales
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set and pursue monthly and annual personal income goals in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
  • Submit monthly written sales goals to the Manager by the 2nd day of each month.
  • Follow the company-approved "Road to the Sale" process for every customer interaction, including: Proper meet and greet with Business Development Center (BDC) check-in Comprehensive fact finding and customer needs analysis Trade-in evaluation Deal approval processes World-class product presentation and demonstration drives Trial closes Turnover to management as needed Proper vehicle delivery including OnStar, My Rewards, and XM radio overview Post-sale follow-up with customers and funding departments
  • Inspect inventory daily by walking the entire lot to stay informed about available vehicles.
  • Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives before discussing sales figures.
  • Handle keys, license plates, and obtain photocopies of drivers’ licenses as part of procedural duties.
  • Accompany customers on all demonstration rides.
  • Turn over customers who may leave without purchasing to Sales Managers, Finance & Insurance Managers, or other Sales Consultants.
  • Prospect for new business through daily telephone contacts and personal outreach, making at least two new contacts per day.
