Automotive Sales Manager
About The Position
Berlin City Auto Group is looking for a driven and results-oriented Sales Manager to guide their high-performing team in Williston, Vermont. This role requires hands-on leadership, a passion for team development, and the ability to manage all aspects of the sales process — from customer engagement to deal structure and inventory planning. The Sales Manager will work closely with the General Manager to increase market share, optimize gross profit, and build a culture of excellence. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who models integrity, professionalism, and outstanding customer service, and is passionate about driving performance through teamwork, accountability, and engagement.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of automotive retail sales or management experience
- Strong computer and CRM proficiency
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening for illegal substances
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Experienced in managing Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phone traffic streams
- Skilled in setting goals, tracking performance, and ensuring a high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)
- Reliable, adaptable, and driven by results
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the sales team to achieve monthly sales, profit, and CSI goals
- Recruit, train, coach, and retain top-performing Sales Associates
- Actively engage in daily operations, including desking deals and appraising trades
- Oversee customer negotiation and ensure clear communication of purchase options and pricing
- Collaborate with leadership to plan and manage new and used vehicle inventory
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, shortfalls, and opportunities for improvement
- Manage controllable expenses and support dealership profitability goals
