About The Position

Toyota of Surprise is hosting an Automotive Sales Consultant Hiring Event and is looking to meet motivated, customer-focused individuals who are ready to earn, grow, and build a long-term career in automotive sales. Requirements

  • Sales experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, or other customer-facing industries.
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Strong communicators who enjoy building relationships.
  • Competitive, outgoing professionals who thrive in a results-driven environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must consent to a background check and drug screen.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current and active Sales License, in states where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Establish personal sales goals and implement a plan of action to achieve goals.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that impact retail automotive sales.
  • Communicate effectively via face-to-face, phone, or other means.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Process data and organize it for management analysis.
  • Perform calculations including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Work independently and carry out assignments to completion.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale.
  • Stand and move throughout the dealership facility (lot, showroom, service department, offices) for most of the shift.
  • Assist in cleaning vehicles from snow if applicable to the local climate.
