About The Position

Jim Pattison Subaru Victoria is looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Automotive Sales Consultant to join our dealership team. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligibility to obtain a VSA licence.
  • Availability to work a flexible dealership schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence interacting with customers in person, by telephone, and through digital channels.
  • An interest in automotive products, technology, and the vehicle industry.
  • The ability to manage multiple customer conversations and maintain consistent follow-up.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A professional, positive, and team-oriented approach.
  • Initiative and the ability to remain motivated in a performance-driven environment.
  • A willingness to learn and accept coaching.
  • Successful candidates to submit a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive sales experience is an asset, but it is not essential. Candidates with backgrounds in retail, hospitality, customer service, telecommunications, real estate, financial services, or other relationship-based sales environments are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and respond promptly to showroom, telephone, website, and other sales inquiries.
  • Build professional relationships by identifying customer preferences, priorities, budget considerations, and vehicle requirements.
  • Demonstrate Subaru vehicles and explain their features, technology, functionality, and benefits.
  • Arrange and conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives.
  • Provide customers with accurate information regarding vehicle pricing, available products, and financing alternatives.
  • Work alongside Sales Management to prepare and structure vehicle transactions.
  • Manage prospective and existing customers within the dealership's CRM and maintain timely follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers who are researching, considering, or returning for a vehicle purchase.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of vehicle deliveries.
  • Ensure customers understand their vehicle's features and technology before completing the delivery process.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Subaru products, model updates, competitive offerings, and automotive industry developments.
  • Participate in dealership sales initiatives and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Follow dealership processes and professional standards throughout the customer experience.
