  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Ability to interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale of department, dealership and organization.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Driving Record that meets insurance requirements and company policy.
  • Current and active Sales License, in states where applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail customer service experience preferred.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Help the customer define their transportation needs, find the right vehicle to meet those needs, and address customer concerns which stand in the way of a vehicle purchasing decision.
  • Follow the CarShop sales process and embody the CarShop Philosophy, operating from values of integrity, teamwork, and caring for the customer.
  • Answer sales calls and respond to internet inquiries.
  • Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals and establish a customer network.
  • Provide a quality customer service experience to valued customers.
  • Continuously contribute to a positive and encouraging atmosphere, with readiness to assist customers and fellow associates in the delivery of products and services.
  • Be exposed to learning operations and have the opportunity to grow and advance in their career.
