Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of related sales experience or equivalent education and training.
  • Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities to maintain client relationships before and after sales.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and conduct needs analysis regarding vehicle preferences, features, and types.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation both in the showroom and during test drives.
  • Research vehicle availability and optional equipment using computer databases.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance & Insurance Managers to negotiate prices, financing, trade-ins, taxes, license fees, and discounts.
  • Perform regular visual inspections of inventory on the lot.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and assist with vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and provide thorough orientation on vehicle use.
  • Attend required training sessions and department meetings to stay current on products and sales techniques.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance to support team operations.
