About The Position

This role is for a results-driven salesperson at a family-owned dealership with a strong community reputation. The position offers a performance-driven environment with high-earning potential, consistent inbound lead flow, and the opportunity to build a personal book of business. Structured training is provided, and no prior automotive experience is required. The ideal candidate understands that great sales start with great relationships, takes the time to understand customer needs, builds trust, stays organized, enjoys meaningful conversations, is comfortable asking for the sale, and takes ownership of their results. The role involves handling both inbound and outbound sales opportunities, building lasting relationships, recommending solutions, guiding customers through the buying process, and generating repeat business and referrals.

Requirements

  • Sales experience required (phone or customer-facing)
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening as a condition of employment
  • Experience in phone sales, appointment setting, or outbound calling
  • Experience in commission-based or quota-driven roles
  • Experience in direct-to-consumer sales (retail, single-product, or high-ticket)
  • Experience managing their own pipeline or customer base
  • Confidence handling objections and closing sales
  • A track record of building relationships that convert into repeat business
  • Consistent follow-up habits and strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to close sales
  • Ability to build trust and uncover real customer needs
  • Self-motivation and goal orientation

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound sales opportunities (calls, internet leads, walk-ins)
  • Build lasting relationships by asking the right questions and truly understanding customer needs
  • Recommend solutions that align with each customer’s situation
  • Guide customers through the buying process from first contact to delivery
  • Follow up consistently to earn both the sale and long-term loyalty
  • Generate repeat business and referrals through strong relationship management
  • Respond to new internet and phone leads
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to active prospects
  • Work with walk-in customers
  • Have in-depth conversations to understand customer needs and match them to the right vehicle
  • Track activity and manage your pipeline in CRM
  • Deliver vehicles and ask for referrals
