About The Position

DePaula Ford is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Sales Consultant to join our dealership team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy building relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and helping customers find the right vehicle to fit their need. Previous automotive sales experience is helpful but not required-we provide comprehensive training and opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Comfortable using computers, tablets, DMS software, and mobile technology.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Previous automotive sales experience is helpful but not required
Previous sales or customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Greet customers in friendly and professional manner.
Build rapport and identify customer needs through effective communication.
Demonstrate vehicle features, technology and benefits.
Conduct vehicle walk-rounds and accompany customers on test drives.
Present financing, leasing, and vehicle protection options in partnership with the Finance Department.
Maintain knowledge of current inventory, manufacturer incentives, and competitor products.
Follow up with prospective customers through phone calls, email and text messaging.
Develop and maintain a strong customer base through referrals and repeat business.
Meet or exceed individual and dealership sales goals.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process and after delivery.
Participate in sales meeting, product training, and dealership events.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the dealership in a positive manner.
