About The Position

Murgado Ford of Chicago is hiring an Automotive Sales Associate to join their high-performing car sales team. This role is for a motivated sales professional who enjoys fast-paced retail environments and wants to build a career in auto sales. The position offers training, support, and strong earning potential. The associate will work directly with customers as a consultative car salesman/representative, helping them find the right Ford vehicle, financing, and options, while delivering an exceptional dealership experience.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated: Goal-oriented, coachable, and comfortable working in a performance-driven car sales environment.
  • Comfortable using computers, digital retail tools, and CRM systems to manage leads and follow-ups.
  • Valid driver’s license required with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales experience is preferred but not required (customer service, retail sales, or auto sales experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers, identify needs, and provide a professional, consultative car salesman experience from first contact to delivery.
  • Learn Ford vehicles, trims, technology, warranties, and competitive comparisons.
  • Manage test drives, trade-in appraisals (as applicable), pricing discussions, and purchase paperwork in partnership with managers and finance.
  • Introduce financing options and coordinate with the finance team to support a smooth close.
  • Maintain communication to ensure satisfaction, answer questions, and generate repeat and referral car sales.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly automotive sales targets.
  • Use CRM tools to track opportunities, appointments, and your auto sales pipeline.
  • Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with sales, service, and finance to deliver a great customer experience.
