About The Position

Robert Horne Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Recon Manager to lead our vehicle reconditioning operations in Apache Junction, AZ. If you're an organized, results-driven leader with a strong background in dealership reconditioning, fleet operations, and production management, this is an outstanding opportunity to join one of Arizona's premier Ford dealerships. We're looking for someone who can oversee daily recon operations, maximize productivity, and ensure every vehicle meets the highest quality standards before it reaches the sales lot.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of automotive reconditioning or dealership management experience required
• Fleet management or fleet reconditioning experience is required
• Previous dealership experience strongly preferred
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
• Experience working in a high-volume dealership environment preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily vehicle reconditioning operations
• Manage recon workflow to ensure timely vehicle completion
• Coordinate repairs between technicians, vendors, and internal departments
• Prioritize inventory to meet dealership sales and delivery goals
• Manage fleet vehicle reconditioning and preparation
• Monitor productivity, quality standards, and turnaround times
• Maintain accurate records and reporting throughout the recon process
• Lead, coach, and motivate the reconditioning team
• Ensure all vehicles meet dealership appearance and mechanical standards
• Work closely with Sales, Service, and Parts departments to maximize efficiency
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
