About The Position

We sell 150+ new and used Toyotas a month, with existing traffic from floor ups, internet leads, service drive, and a 30-year repeat/referral base. This role requires someone who knows the product thoroughly, interacts well with customers, and can close sales without negotiation. The Product Specialist demonstrates vehicles, answers customer questions, and guides them through a transparent sales process. This is not a traditional car sales role; there is no price negotiation or chasing down customers. The focus is on product knowledge and customer guidance.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-first presence.
  • Basic comfort with technology, including CRM, mobile apps, and vehicle infotainment systems.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work Saturdays.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive personality.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and work with customers who are already on the lot or scheduled, including floor traffic, appointments, and service-drive opportunities.
  • Gain and maintain a professional-level knowledge of the Toyota lineup, including specific models like Tacoma, Tundra, RAV4, Grand Highlander, 4Runner, Camry, Corolla, Sequoia, and the full hybrid/electrified range.
  • Deliver structured product demonstrations and test drives, covering aspects such as Toyota Safety Sense, hybrid powertrain differences, towing and payload capacities, and trim-to-trim comparisons.
  • Clearly explain pricing using a one-price/transparent pricing model, avoiding back-and-forth negotiation or managerial involvement.
  • Set up customer technology at delivery, including the Toyota app, phone pairing, and driver-assist settings, to ensure customer confidence.
  • Follow up with sold and unsold customers using the CRM system consistently.
  • Complete Toyota certification training and stay updated on lineup changes.
  • Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores by ensuring a positive delivery experience.
