Requirements

At least 1 year of hands-on automotive mechanic focused experience, including the repair and/or removal of automotive parts.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of automotive parts and their functions.
Must own and maintain essential mechanical tools.
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Locate, identify, and skillfully remove auto parts from vehicles in salvage yards.
Use forklifts and other lift equipment to safely move parts between storage areas.
Examine parts for defects, label and tag items meticulously, and input data into computer systems.
Manage the organization and disposal of scrap and core materials to designated areas.
Keep work area orderly and complete necessary paperwork diligently.
