Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a Parts Manager within a franchised dealership
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Prior experience managing a team or in a supervisory capacity
  • A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
  • Great customer service skills
  • Detail oriented, teamwork driven, and organized
  • Ability to work well in a process driven environment
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department
  • Maintain profitability of the department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department and strive to meet/exceed them
  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the defined areas
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to date
  • Work with the service department, collision repair, and wholesale account representatives to ensure inventory is available when needed
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
  • Establish and maintain programs designed to train, develop, and motivate department employees
  • Provide technical assistance to parts department employees
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales
  • Enforce safety requirements
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company's values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors
