The Parts Manager is responsible for leading an efficient and profitable Parts Department, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and long-term retention. This role oversees all aspects of parts operations, including inventory management to optimize fill rate, cost control, merchandising, and accurate recordkeeping. The Parts Manager also plays a key role in building and maintaining strong team relationships, driving performance, and supporting overall dealership success through effective processes and operational discipline.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to drive accountability and performance
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, especially in inventory and recordkeeping
  • Business-minded with the ability to analyze financials and make data-driven decisions
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence and retention
  • Problem-solving ability with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Effective communication skills across departments, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze departmental financial performance; forecast and set goals to drive profitability
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, meet deadlines, and support overall dealership objectives
  • Oversee parts inventory to optimize fill rate, control costs, and ensure proper merchandising
  • Establish and maintain pricing strategies that balance profitability with customer retention
  • Lead and support wholesale parts operations to generate additional revenue
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and maintain required reporting for dealership leadership
  • Utilize dealership systems and stay current with manufacturer programs, tools, and processes
  • Partner with the management team to achieve dealership-wide goals and improve operations
  • Oversee warranty procedures and ensure compliance with manufacturer and third-party policies
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, including safety and environmental standards
  • Foster strong employee relationships and maintain a productive, accountable team environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Competitive Pay: $96,000 - $120,000 annually (base + bonus potential)
