Automotive Parts Delivery Driver
About The Position
Auto-Wares is seeking a full-time local non-CDL stocker/delivery driver for its distribution center in Warren, Michigan. This customer service position offers training opportunities for career advancement, and a company vehicle is provided. It is a day-shift role, Monday through Friday, with 30–34 hours per week. The route goes to Brighton and then Lansing. Company store delivery drivers support store activity by building professional, lasting relationships and maintaining communication with customers. They deliver parts correctly, safely, and on time, while providing service and customer follow-up. Auto-Wares is a family-owned and operated automotive aftermarket parts business serving Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The company says it focuses on employee career development and education and provides employees with disinfectant, gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- No major driving violations and no more than one minor violation in the last three years.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a physical and drug screen.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with both arms.
- Interest in automotive car care.
Responsibilities
- Handle yourself professionally and set an example.
- Maintain good store communications and follow up with customers.
- Lift merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds for deliveries.
- Record and process customer returns.
- Be familiar with local roadways.
- Tell customers what you can do for them.
- Use the delivery system to provide service.
- Notify the manager of customer problems.
- Keep the store appearance clean and organized.
- Help train less experienced team members.
- Keep management informed about the competition.
- Deliver parts correctly, safely, and on time.
