About The Position

The Parts Counterperson at DELLA Auto Group is a vital role within our organization, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of parts orders and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. As a Full Time - hourly Technician / Skilled Labor / Contractor, this individual will play a key role in supporting our service center and sales teams by maintaining an efficient and well-stocked parts inventory. This position will be located in Queensbury, New York and will report directly to the Parts Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous parts counter experience preferred, but not required
Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information from manuals and electronic sources
Basic knowledge of automotive parts and procedures
Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone in a prompt and friendly manner
Listen to and understand customer needs to accurately identify and locate required parts
Utilize computerized inventory system to ensure the availability of parts and place orders as needed
Collaborate with service technicians to determine the correct parts needed for repairs
Maintain accurate records of parts orders and sales, including tracking back-ordered and special order items
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock is on hand to meet customer demand
Process returns and exchanges following company policies and procedures
Keep parts department and work area clean and organized
Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
Other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager
