About The Position

The successful candidate will be required to order parts, as per technician's requests, for the purpose of repairing vehicles and/or getting them ready for retail sale. Parts will be ordered by contacting parts providers directly, both by phone and online. Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required
  • Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise as needed
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug testing
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ordering parts A HUGE PLUS.

Responsibilities

  • Order parts/products and/or services to repair the problem and meet the customer's needs.
  • Assist in keeping parts department clean and orderly.
  • Record all purchases, sales and/or customer transactions that occur.
  • Provide service technicians with parts as required.
  • Assist the Parts Manager in merchandising displays, if and when required.
  • Maintain the retail salesfloor displays to meet or exceed the dealerships standards and today's customer satisfaction.
  • Controls showroom inventory to ensure maximum sales and customer satisfaction.
  • When working the parts counter, follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership.
  • Processes cores, warranties, and new return merchandise as required at a point of sale.
  • Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in the job.
  • Use dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently.
  • Perform other tasks as required by Parts Manger.
  • Verify receiving documents.
  • Follow up on shortages and expedite by reporting to Parts Manager.
  • Responsible for shipping, receiving and wholesale part sales.
  • Assisting customers in finding the appropriate parts for their vehicles.
  • Provide technicians with the correct parts for customer vehicles.
  • Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
  • Communicate with customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership.
  • Drive/transport parts to customers or other locations.
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
