Automotive Parts Advisor, Parts Counter Sales – Parts Specialist

The Automotive Parts Advisor / Counter Sales Representative assists service technicians, retail customers, and wholesale clients by identifying, sourcing, and selling OEM and aftermarket automotive parts while supporting dealership parts operations.
Requirements
- Prior automotive parts advisor / parts counter / dealership parts experience required
- Knowledge of auto parts catalogs, inventory systems, and dealership operations
- Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Weekend availability required
Responsibilities
- Assist customers and technicians at the parts counter and via phone/email
- Identify correct OEM and aftermarket parts using catalogs & systems
- Process parts orders, quotes, invoices, and transactions
- Manage special orders, backorders, and customer follow-ups
- Handle core returns, warranty claims, and parts returns
- Cross-sell and upsell parts and accessories
- Support inventory control, stocking, and organization
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and customer-focused parts department
- Work closely with Service Department and Parts Manager
