About The Position

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Automotive Painter at its Service Center in Denham Springs. This role is central to the collision repair process, involving the preparation and application of paint to vehicles. Key duties include preparing color tints to precisely match existing paint, mixing various paint colors, and ensuring that all aspects of paint application—from formulation and preparation to top coating and curing—adhere strictly to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards for sequence, timing, and material usage. The Automotive Painter is also responsible for the final stages of the paint process, ensuring all operations are complete, masking materials are removed, and any components disassembled for painting are correctly reassembled before the vehicle is returned to the body technician. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center
  • Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Work through competing priorities and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preparing color tint to match paint color
