About The Position

The Automotive Packaging Engineer Intern supports the development, validation, and implementation of packaging solutions for automotive components and assemblies. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, and quality teams to design cost-effective, sustainable, and efficient packaging that protects products throughout the supply chain while meeting customer and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, and spreadsheet management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions and reporting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create fleet calculators, inventory records, and asset tracking data for container assets.
  • Support fleet inventory audits and ensure asset information is accurate and up to date.
  • Help track repair and maintenance activities and maintain related documentation and records.
  • Assist in monitoring container condition and identifying assets requiring repair or replacement.
  • Compile and analyze fleet, inventory, and maintenance data to support reporting and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and materials teams on fleet management projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • All other duties assigned necessary to perform the job.
