About The Position

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking talented, dedicated, and quality-focused teammates to provide top-tier service. This role involves performing all-purpose duties, including applying technical knowledge to assist customers, handling inbound and outbound calls to support the Autel scanning unit, answering technical questions related to scanning procedures, and researching to resolve vehicle technology issues. Protech Automotive Solutions has been in business for over 20 years, handling various repairs from mechanical work on suspension, drive modules, and frames to advanced diagnostics of computerized vehicle control systems and delicate interior trim components. The company offers a fast-paced work environment with challenging skill development, providing the latest computerized diagnostic equipment, factory diagnostic and programming software, and tools. Mobile technicians are provided with a company vehicle, cell phone, and laptop.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior experience as a Diagnostic technician required.
  • Must currently have or be willing to obtain proper tools to successfully complete job duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including background checks.
  • Minimum age requirement of 21+ years.
  • Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work through competing priorities and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide personable, friendly customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • I-CAR & ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all-purpose duties as a Mobile Diagnostic Technician.
  • Apply technical knowledge to assist customers.
  • Answer inbound and outbound phone calls in support of the Autel scanning unit.
  • Answer technical questions relating to the scanning procedures of the Autel unit.
  • Conduct research to understand, explain, and resolve technology issues on the vehicle.
  • Handle hands-on mechanical repair and replacement of suspension, drive modules, and frames.
  • Perform diagnostic opportunities requiring advanced knowledge of computerized vehicle control systems.
  • Handle soft touch repair and replacement of delicate vehicle interior trim components.
