About The Position

This role focuses on maintaining and repairing a wide variety of vehicles, construction equipment, and powered tools to support safe and reliable operations. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will perform the following duties: Equipment Repair: Perform maintenance and repair work on gasoline and diesel vehicles, trucks, tractors, and construction machinery. System Diagnostics: Carry out mechanical checks and tune-ups, replace parts, and complete repairs on cooling, suspension, electrical, fuel, brake, steering, and driveline systems. Safety Inspections: Conduct official state safety and emissions inspections and complete required records and paperwork. Field Service: Provide emergency roadside service and perform repairs at field locations when necessary. Parts Management: Obtain needed supplies, provide original equipment manufacturer (OEM) information, and maintain accurate equipment records. Workplace Safety: Maintain a safe work area, follow proper procedures, and take proactive steps to prevent accidents.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities
  • Possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension
  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class 1 Inspection Mechanic certificate that allows inspection for Class 1 vehicles
  • Ability to perform essential job functions
