Requirements

• Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
• Possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
• Must be a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Certified Inspection Mechanic for Class 1 vehicles.
• Must obtain a CFC-12 Refrigerant Recycling Certificate and a 134A Refrigerant Recycling Certificate upon hire and continuously maintain it while employed in this job.
• Must provide your own mechanics toolbox and basic tool set.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive care on cars, trucks, tractors, and construction equipment
• Carry out work on electrical, cooling, suspension, fuel, brake, steering, and driveline systems
• Complete official state safety and emissions inspections and prepare required records
• Provide emergency road assistance and conduct maintenance and adjustments at field locations
• Clean, service, and document maintenance activities to support safe and efficient operations
• Follow environmental protection requirements and complete designated training
