About The Position

The purpose of the A or B Technician is to have a highly trained and knowledgeable employee able to diagnose, inspect, repair, service, perform digital inspections (VHIs), and maintenance. This role works only Monday-Thursday, ensuring every weekend is a three-day weekend. The technician will perform thorough and accurate Vehicle Health Inspections, communicate needed up-sells and repair recommendations with accurate estimates, and use TekMetric to research client history and perform services correctly. A dedication to delivering maximum customer service is essential. The role involves completing repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately, keeping detailed records, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and adhering to safety protocols. Additionally, the technician will assist other technicians, properly dispose of parts and chemicals, and mentor junior technicians.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role required.
  • Knowledge of automotive service and repair procedures.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Transportation.
  • Your own tools/toolbox.
  • Minimum of four years of experience.
  • Great attitude.
  • Punctuality.
  • Focus on customer service and keeping the vehicle clean.
  • No drama, no alcohol/drug use drama, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough and accurate Vehicle Health Inspections as trained by the My Car Doc management for proper functionality and safety.
  • Communicate needed up-sells and repair recommendations and provide accurate estimates of costs and timelines.
  • Use TekMetric to research client history and perform services correctly.
  • Dedication to delivering maximum customer service to each client.
  • Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately, following manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist other technicians as needed.
  • Proper disposal of parts and chemicals.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians as needed.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose runnability issues.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose non-start issues.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose electrical issues.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair AC systems, coolant systems, etc.
  • Ability to perform approved work in a timely manner.
