About The Position

The Automotive Mechanic performs basic and advanced vehicle maintenance and repair, inspects vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshoots issues to ensure vehicles are operating appropriately and customers are cared for. The role applies in-depth automotive repair knowledge and provides high-quality service while diagnosing and resolving mechanical problems. Mechanics also keep current with changing automotive technology, follow company policies and safety standards, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional auto service or engine diagnostic experience.
• Must have technician tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate and drive vehicles.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Apply in-depth automotive repair knowledge.
• Provide the highest quality of service to customers.
• Perform skilled mechanical work, including analyzing and diagnosing problems.
• Inspect, replace, and/or repair defective parts and perform preventive maintenance on automobiles.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to keep current with changing automotive technology.
