About The Position

As an Automotive Repair Technician C, you will have the opportunity to work at one of our Inspection Centers that help recondition the vehicles we sell to our customers. This role will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles have been properly reconditioned and meet MYCAR’s vehicle quality standards. As a Technician C, you will be expected to utilize your foundational knowledge to perform general automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles under the guidance of more experienced technicians. The ideal candidate must have some experience in vehicle repair, a willingness to learn, and a drive to achieve customer satisfaction. You should be goal-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization. The Automotive Repair Technician C will report to the Line Lead, Build, and will be an hourly full-time position.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in automotive repairs, including basic tasks such as brake repair, fluid flushes, tire repair, radiators, and basic drivability issues.
  • Familiarity with using vehicle diagnosis equipment for mechanical issues.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and use them in repairs.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to learn and work in a team setting.
  • Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and following MYCAR’s vehicle quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills with data entry and navigating computer applications.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUIs in the last three years.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certifications (preferred, not required).
  • Experience in Engine Performance Maintenance or Engine Repair.
  • Experience working in a high-end automotive facility or dealership.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working for a fast-paced hyper-growth company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general automotive repairs such as radiators, timing belts, alignments, and suspension systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Use wiring diagrams to assist with electrical wiring.
  • Assist in drivability repair for wheel bearings, alignment issues, and axles.
  • Participate in vehicle climate control repair and replacement for ACs and heater cores.
  • Maintain and coordinate the completion of ancillary goods or services for vehicles as needed.
  • Input vehicle data into computer systems and MYCAR technology applications to ensure vehicle information is up to date.
  • Follow proper operating rules, procedures, and standardized work initiatives as assigned.
  • Work on a variety of vehicle tasks for an extended period.
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
