About The Position

Clift Buick GMC is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Master Technician to join our team in Adrian, MI. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $35.00 to $48.50, with pay issued bi-weekly. As an integral member of our service department, you will apply your advanced technical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Current State Certifications & ASE Certification preferred
  • Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times
  • Self-Discipline & Self-Motivation
  • Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Must Pass Physical and Background Check
  • Certified Automotive Master Technician status, preferably GM-certified.
  • Extensive experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs, especially on GM vehicles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Good communication skills and document all work performed
  • Work quickly and efficiently on customer vehicles
  • Consistent quality work performed with each job and inspection
  • Perform thorough diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on GM vehicles using manufacturer-approved tools and techniques.
  • Identify mechanical and electrical issues accurately and execute timely repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain vehicle issues and repairs.
  • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, service bulletins, and technical training.
