About The Position

Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich is seeking a creative and hands-on Automotive Marketing Manager to generate engaging content that attracts customers. This role involves conceptualizing, shooting, editing, and publishing various forms of video and digital content, including vehicle features, customer stories, employee spotlights, and promotional materials. The ideal candidate will be adept at storytelling, scriptwriting, and utilizing editing tools to create compelling content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the dealership's online presence and community engagement, backed by a long-standing family automotive legacy.

Requirements

  • Experience in marketing, social media, digital content, video production, advertising, or a related field.
  • Strong video editing skills with examples of created content.
  • Ability to develop video concepts, scripts, hooks, captions, and calls to action.
  • Experience creating and publishing content for major social platforms.
  • Comfort shooting content on-site and collaborating with employees and leadership.
  • Strong organization, communication, and follow-through skills.
  • A portfolio or links to videos, social content, or campaigns produced.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).
  • Experience creating or adapting marketing content for multilingual audiences.
  • Automotive or dealership marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with Chevrolet or other General Motors brands.
  • Photography, videography, or on-camera experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Experience with paid social advertising, analytics, and lead generation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, edit, and publish video content, including vehicle features, walkarounds, short-form videos, customer stories, employee spotlights, behind-the-scenes content, promotions, events, community involvement, and service tips.
  • Utilize editing software to incorporate captions, graphics, sound effects, and music to create attention-holding content.
  • Write scripts, opening hooks, captions, and calls to action to drive customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to identify compelling stories and assist employees in appearing on camera.
  • Plan and manage content across social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
  • Develop a content calendar and adapt creative work for different platforms.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and test new content ideas.
  • Track video performance, engagement, website traffic, inquiries, leads, and other metrics to inform future campaigns.
  • Improve content strategies based on performance results and team understanding.
