About The Position

Our Bumper to Bumper store in Waukegan, IL is currently seeking a person for an Automotive Machine Shop Technician. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality results while maintaining excellent communication and customer service standards. Preferred experience in an automotive machine shop, including familiarity with engine components, precision measurements, machining processes, and shop equipment. Requirements

Must be at Least 18 Years of Age
Pass Drug Screen
Able to lift and carry up to 50 Pounds with Both Arms.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience in an automotive machine shop, including familiarity with engine components, precision measurements, machining processes, and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

Complete projects as assigned by manager.
Overall machine shop cleanliness.
Work with the Manager to better communications / service.
Automotive mechanical expertise in engine teardown.
Ability to follow direction; read and understand common danger placards/labels and hazardous warning literature including site safety plans
Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws and policies
