Advanced Auto Body is GROWING!!! Tansky’s Advanced Auto Body is continuing to expand, and we are looking for a skilled Automotive Glass Installation Technician to join our team. Our 55,000-square-foot collision repair facility features modern equipment, a strong team environment, and a commitment to performing high-quality repairs. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works safely and efficiently, and understands the importance of proper glass installation in today’s increasingly advanced vehicles. As a Glass Installation Technician, you will be responsible for removing, replacing, and installing automotive glass while following proper manufacturer procedures and maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to safely perform automotive glass removal and installation
- Ability to lift and position automotive glass
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Previous automotive glass installation experience
- Collision center or dealership experience
- Experience with urethane-bonded glass systems
- Familiarity with OEM glass installation procedures
- I-CAR or related industry training
- Experience working with ADAS cameras and windshield-mounted safety systems
- Strong computer and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Remove and install windshields, back glass, quarter glass, and other automotive glass
- Inspect vehicles and glass for damage before and after installation
- Properly prepare glass and vehicle mounting surfaces
- Apply primers, adhesives, urethane, and sealants according to manufacturer specifications
- Follow proper cure times and installation procedures
- Identify and report moldings, clips, trim, sensors, or other components requiring replacement
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Protect vehicle interiors and exterior surfaces during repairs
- Follow OEM repair procedures and dealership safety standards
- Work closely with collision technicians, estimators, and management to maintain efficient workflow
- Assist with windshield-mounted cameras, sensors, and ADAS-related components as required
