Automotive General Service Lube Technician
About The Position
This position is responsible for providing service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters, and airing tires. It also involves specialized services such as transmission, differential, and radiator services. The role requires inputting customer and maintenance information into a computer, explaining services to customers, and accepting payment. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining clean facilities, observing safety regulations, and performing related duties as assigned. The position reports to the Manager and Assistant Manager and involves rotating through various Lube Technician duties.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must successfully complete the Lube Technician training course.
- Must be able to reach four feet in height overhead.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Must be able to respond to communication calls from co-workers.
- Mobility is required.

- Previous automotive experience is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Provide service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters, and airing tires.
- Provide specialized service including but not limited to transmission, differential and radiator services.
- Input customer and maintenance information into computer.
- Explain service to customers and accept payment for services.
- Maintain clean facilities (work area, grounds, restrooms, customer area, etc.) including sweeping, mopping and emptying trash.
- Observe and comply with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
