Automotive Fluid Services Technician
About The Position
SpeeDee Oil Change has been providing quick lube, automotive tune-up, and full-service auto maintenance and repair for over 40 years. With over 150 locations, SpeeDee has built trusted customer relationships based on reliability and professional service. This role is responsible for performing all fluid services, including oil changes, transmission, differential, and cooling system maintenance, as well as replacing wiper blades and filters. The technician will also educate customers on necessary preventive vehicle maintenance, perform courtesy services, and assist with tire repair and replacement.
Requirements

- Basic literacy (reading, writing, math skills)
- Ability and licensed to operate motor vehicles
- Verbal communication skills
- Ability to properly use mechanical hand tools

- No previous experience or training required
Responsibilities
- Performing upper bay and lower bay oil change and inspection functions
- Explaining SpeeDee programs, services and pricing structure in order to achieve high customer satisfaction and increased revenues
- Attending training sessions that are applicable to the career path and position requirements
- Performing preventive maintenance on fluid services equipment
- Following appropriate safety procedures and notifying the Shop Manager of safety hazards or needed equipment repairs
- General center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows and clearing litter
- Attending crew meetings as required
- Other duties assigned by a supervisor
