Requirements

Previous experience as an automotive technician
Strong knowledge of automotive repair and preventive maintenance
Ability to learn quickly and work effectively as part of a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong customer service mindset
Proficiency with computers and diagnostic software; willingness to learn new systems
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic and testing equipment
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass all pre-employment background screenings

Responsibilities

Perform all work listed on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer standards
Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and specialty equipment to identify issues in components and systems
Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical, and more
Communicate clearly with the Service Advisor regarding findings, additional service recommendations, and repair timelines
Provide accurate time estimates for any additional or recommended repairs
Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer requirements and documentation standards
Provide guidance and support to junior technicians as needed
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety guidelines Perform other duties as assigned
