About The Position

This position generates accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning services offered to all internal and external auction customers. These estimates are to be generated using formats and pricing defined by management. The hourly base pay rate is in the range of $18.22 - $27.36/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Requirements

  • 1+ years of auto experience
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g. tools, equipment).
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Clearly and accurately create vehicle repair estimates based on damages, paint, color match, and blending procedures.
  • Able to utilize estimating tools to provide an accurate estimate.
  • Document damages in the estimating tool to provide visibility to the client.
  • Adheres to all company safety standards and reports any unsafe conditions through appropriate channels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Provide accurate reconditioning estimates for mechanical and body services. Estimates will include, but not be limited to, commercial, dealer, rental, and retail customers, as well as any lot or internal damage.
  • Work with multiple vendors to locate the parts that best fit our clients' needs based on pricing and time frames.
  • Work with Procurement/Purchasing staff to ensure accurate pricing of parts and supplies required for estimates.
  • Monitor repair status, completion timelines, and customer communications related to approved reconditioning estimates as directed by management.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
