About The Position

Boeing Defense is currently seeking an Automotive Equipment Mechanic located in Ridley Park, PA. Automotive Equipment Mechanics inspect, repair and maintain automotive equipment and hydraulic systems. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • 3 or more years of experience with general Automotive service. (oil changes, car repairs, etc.)
  • Experience with computers and learning new computer systems (Such as Microsoft Word and Outlook).
  • A “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Electric powered Golf Carts and other engine driven equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect automotive equipment and hydraulic systems, and perform mechanical repair and maintenance functions.
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
  • Replace broken, worn and defective parts, and perform overhauls of automotive equipment.
  • May be required to obtain and perform Pennsylvania State Inspection of motor vehicles.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs to disabled vehicles, as applicable.
  • Provide instruction to employees designated to assist with the above duties, and assist other personnel as needed.
  • Perform work in accordance with oral and written instructions from management and in conformance with company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practices.
