About The Position

LKQ Corporation is seeking candidates interested in Engine Disassembly and Repair. LKQ Corporation is the leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles. At LKQ Reman Springfield, we specialize in the remanufacturing of automotive engines. This role involves performing various disassembly and repair operations on a variety of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, and setting up and operating complex machines. The company provides all the necessary training for success in this role.

Requirements

Ability to read and write.

Responsibilities

Operation in accordance to systems and procedures within the cell and to health and safety requirements.
Handling of material and waste between processes.
Ensuring quality of own work/product.
Daily housekeeping and preventative maintenance within the cell.
Participation in daily cell meetings and in continuous improvement activities.
Participation in cell design and controls.
Support the cell leader in maintenance of documentation.
Filling in for cell leader when necessary.
Cross-training within the cell.
Provide quality products.
Performing various disassembly and repair operations on a variety of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
Setting up and operating complex machines.
Operations may include washing, cleaning, checking, inspecting, material handling, repairing, gaging parts, magnafluxing (steel and zinc) shot blasting, tumbling, and prepping.
May train or instruct fellow workers regarding duties.
